Ashanti, Incorporated was founded in 1996 to initially offering accounting and tax services within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. After extensive education and training in the accounting and finance arena, Ashanti Financial Services, Inc. (AFS) was established specializing in Tax Accounting.

Universal Mortgages & Financial Services, LLC (UMFS) was established in 2001, to offer Accounting and Tax Services as well as Mortgage Loan Brokerage Services. 

Universal Mortgages & Financial Services, LLC (UMFS) gained momentum, popularity, and rapport during the U.S. Housing Boom from 2000 to 2005. UMFS assisted numerous families in the process to own their own homes. UMFS takes pride in the number of individuals and families that received professional services to become a homeowner.

Currently, UMFS specializes exclusively in Loan Modifications, Income Taxes and Accounting Services.

The founders for both Companies are Samuel Owusu and Robert Sarkodee-Adoo.
